CUET stands for Common university entrance exam. CUET is being conducted at a national level, with 250+ universities participating in it. CUET will be the sole gateway for UG admissions to universities participating in it. As of now, there are 47 Central Universities and 250+ universities in total (including state, private, and deemed universities) that are expected to participate in CUET 2024.

The admissions are now done based on merit (class XII marks) will come under the purview of CUET, and the admissions will be done on the basis of the CUET score (percentile) of the candidates.

In the upcoming CUET 2024, the exam structure will consist of three distinct sections. These sections are:
  • Section I (A & B), which covers Languages (13 Language in IA & 20 language in IB).
  • Section II, focusing on Domain Subjects (27 Subjects).
  • Section III, designated as the General Test.

To participate, candidates must carefully review the complete list of universities under CUET and the eligibility criteria for their desired courses. Based on this evaluation, they will need to select their preferred language paper, along with a combination of domain subjects and, if necessary, Section III (General Test). Each candidate can opt for a total of 10 subjects by combining their choices from all three sections.
