Located at the foothills of Alagarmalai, Mahatma Montessori Matriculation School is a school for day students and boarding boys. The curriculum is focused on understanding and appreciating the needs of every learner, thus promoting well-rounded development in every student. The school also enables its students to learn key life skills through boarding facilities; students also begin to take responsibility for themselves and their achievements, aspirations and goals. Altogether, the school is dedicated to constantly upgrading its learners and making them world-ready in every possible way.
Mahatma Montessori Matriculation Higher Secondary School (Boarding/Day) is co-educational from grades VI to XII. The medium of instruction for all classes is English.
ELA JEN is an integrated educational programme for students of classes 11 & 12 who are preparing for JEE, NEET and other competitive examinations.
Assessment of the acquired knowledge is based on frequent observation of students’ participation in school activities, their interest, interaction, and classroom behavior. Classes IV to XII will have unit tests every week. Classes IV to IX will have regular formative and summative assessments. Classes X, XI and XII will have monthly tests.
Co-curricular activities help in the all-around development of a child by providing a platform to showcase their talents and skills and to learn our culture. These activities also play a vital role in the personality development of the child. Hence, students here can choose one of the activities from the variety the school offers.
Our school has a 400-meter track for athletes. We have specific courts for tennis, basketball, handball, volleyball, football, and badminton for outdoor game lovers. On the other hand, the school also provides indoor games such as carrom, chess and several other traditional games.
Scouts and Guides is a great way for students to develop life skills such as leadership, team-work and self-reliance. They are engaged in outdoor activities, fostering a sense of adventure and resilience. In addition to this, it promotes values like community service and ethical behaviour, contributing to the overall character development of students.
