DELF is an official diploma awarded by the French Ministry of Education to certify that foreign candidates have achieved a certain level of French.

How do we offer?

The DELF is a gateway to learning one of the most advantageous languages of the world.

Mahatma provides DELF in two versions: the Junior/School version and the Tout
Public (All-Public) version. The Junior/School version of DELF targets the young
learners of Mahatma, offering them the first two diplomas of levels A1 and A2.
The Tout Public version, comprising of the DELF A1 diploma, is intended for
adult learners.

  • DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) Tout Public focuses on
    the communicative approach of the language. The diploma DELF A1
    corresponds to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference
    for Languages.

    a ) DELF Level A1

    DELF A1 assesses the language knowledge of beginners which
    enables them to make simple statements on topics that are
    familiar or of particular interest to you, and you can respond
    spontaneously.

  • DELF (Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française) Junior assesses the skills
    in the four fields of language learning described in the Common European
    Framework for Languages: reading, listening, writing and speaking.

    a ) DELF Level A1

    DELF A1 is the first level of certification and demonstrates a basic
    knowledge of French. This certificate proves the learner’s ability to
    understand and use simple phrases in French, and to introduce
    themselves and reply to basic questions.

    b ) DELF Level A2

    DELF A2 proves the candidate’s ability to understand and express
    themselves in simple terms in relation to familiar, everyday topics.
    This level makes things convenient when the learner is going to study,
    work or live in France or a French-speaking country.

Alliance Française – Madras Alliance Francaise – An institution of reference for learning French

Alliance Française is first and foremost a language centre, offering a wide array of French classes from beginner to advanced levels, to children, teenagers and adults (individuals and professionals). Alliance Française is also an official
certification centre. Several yearly sessions of DELF/DALF (Diploma in French Language), delivered by the French National Ministry of Education, of TEF and TCF, under the umbrella of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries of Paris (CCIP), are organized. These certifications give way to official recognition of language proficiency and can be helpful to seek a job or pursue higher studies in France.
